Global Youth Service Day 2009 is April 24-26

Global Youth Service Day (GYSD)
is an annual celebration of youth from over 120 different countries who are volunteering in their communities.  By participating in this project, you will be joining millions of youth everywhere for the world’s largest annual day of youth service!

Boston Cares is the Lead Agency in Massachusetts designated to help Youth Service America track and report all youth service projects happening in our area.  See below for more information about the amazing impacts of this global day of service.

Click on the link for more information about each of the Boston Cares GYSD projects:

The Esplanade Charles River Cleanup (Boston - Back Bay)

The Trustees Charles River Cleanup (Waltham)

The New England Wild Flower Society (Framingham)

The Walk for Hunger Snack Pack (Seaport District)

The Prison Book Program (Quincy)

If you are an agency, organization, or group who is doing a service project April 24-26 and will engage youth in the Greater Boston area, and you’d like recognition in our report to Youth Service America, please click here to tell us about your project.
