Would you like to learn more about your community
and the nonprofit organizations working within it?
Would you like to meet active people in your
community? Then An Inside Look is a great
program for you.
What is An Inside Look?
An Inside Look
is a bi-monthly series that brings people together
in the community to discuss pressing issues of the
present time and to learn more about a nonprofit
working within the community. This program is open
to the public, and draws people from all over Boston
who want to learn more and become more involved in
their local community. This is a great program to
help participants become active citizens.
What is the format of An Inside Look?
At each session of An Inside Look, Boston
Cares will invite a local nonprofit organization to
present in panel form, with an employee (often the
Executive Director), a client, and volunteer from
that organization where they will discuss their work
and what they are doing to impact the community.
After this discussion, participants will split into
groups, where they will go through a workshop or
case study, specific to the topic at hand. Following
the workshop, the floor will be open for a
discussion among all participants and presenters
regarding any other pressing issues in the present
time of the community.
