Would you like to
learn more about the issues,
organizations and communities in which
you are volunteering? Would you like the
opportunity to serve with a team of
Boston Cares members for more than one
project?
If so, TeamWorks is for
you!

"I liked the
community focus and the opportunity to see
parts of Cambridge that I didn't know as
well. I learned about organizations that I
can go back to on my own as a volunteer."
- TeamWorks participant
What is
TeamWorks?
TeamWorks provides
opportunities to learn about the issues,
organizations and communities encountered
through volunteer services, as well as
action steps one can to take in response to
what is learned. TeamWorks fuses volunteer
projects with team-building activities and
issue education to create a cycle of
learning and friendship.

What is the format for TeamWorks?
Most TeamWorks projects
require that volunteers commit to serve
together for 4-6 projects, over 2-3 months;
however, there are other TeamWorks which
require a shorter time commitment with fewer
projects. All participants will gather at a
kickoff to create a schedule of projects
combined with a few social activities to
participate in together. Boston Cares will
arrange these projects and they will be led
by Project Leaders.
