Boston Cares works with private
companies of all sizes to engage
employees in volunteer community
service. These programs introduce
employees to community service and
provide critical support to our
non-profit agency partners, while
generating revenues that enable the
staff and volunteers of Boston Cares
to make a difference virtually every
day of the year. Our signature

Hands at Work
Boston Cares
develops and delivers flexible,
team-oriented volunteer experiences
for companies large and small
throughout the year. The program
offers companies a flexible,
efficient and professional means of
mobilizing employees to make a
positive difference in the
community.
Boston Cares Corporate Volunteer Day
An
outstanding day of corporate
community service, harnessing the
energy and enthusiasm of dozens of
area companies and hundreds of
volunteers every May. More than 190
companies and 7,000 employees have
participated since the event was
launched in 1997 by General Colin
Powell.
As with our
Calendar Program, corporate service
projects vary in task and scope. We
work with more than 100 non-profit
agencies throughout greater Boston.
Examples of corporate service
projects include:
-
Landscaping, trail
clearing and other
beautification efforts
at public parks
-
Planting or harvesting
crops at community
gardens that serve the
hungry
-
Painting and fixing up
youth facilities, summer
camps and community
centers
-
Serving meals at
homeless shelters and
soup kitchens
-
Inspecting and sorting
donated clothing and
other items

Boston Cares
is a not-for-profit organization
supported almost entirely by
corporate partners and private
donations. We make it easy for your
company team to volunteer by
managing the entire process from
project selection to onsite project
assistance. Boston Cares offers
corporate service projects on a
donation-for-service basis, with
contributions supporting project
development and our year-round
volunteering programs.
