Boston Cares offers
several different ways for non-profit agencies to
partner with us.
Calendar Program
The Calendar Program organizes flexible,
convenient, team-based volunteer opportunities. This
program offers non-profit organizations a reliable
source of volunteers to meet their needs. Each month
over 7,000 Boston Cares volunteers and friends
receive our Calendar Program newsletter, with
approximately 150 service projects. Projects can be
recurring (i.e. tutoring on a weekly basis, serving
meals at a shelter), seasonal (after-school
programs, gardening projects) or one-time events
(i.e. charity walks, special events, holiday gift
drives, painting a school). Most projects occur on
weekday evenings or weekends.
Process: Partner
agencies must submit a
Project Request Form
by the first working day of the month prior to the
project date. (e.g. Nov. 1st for a December project)
If you need a Project Request
Form, please contact Kellyn Shoecraft at
617-422-0910, Ext. 212 or
kshoecraft@bostoncares.org.

Family
and Youth Volunteer Program
The Boston Young Active Hands (BOOYAH!)
program engages young people and families in
meaningful, team-orientated volunteer activities and
leadership-building service opportunities that
promote youth and adult partnerships as a resource
in community building.
BOOYAH! offers young
people the opportunity to serve through projects of
their own choosing and design, as well as through
our monthly Calendar Program and special days of
service. BOOYAH! projects are appropriate for
young people between the ages of 5-17 and are
supported by responsible adults in every project.
Process: Organizations
interested in hosting family and youth volunteer
projects should contact Andrew Olson at
aolson@bostoncares.org.
