Frosty’s Friends is a holiday program sponsored by Boston Cares in which we ask our non-profit partners who work with children ages 12 and under to help the kids write (and draw) personal letters requesting a small holiday gift valued at $20-30. Boston Cares volunteers who have asked to participate will receive the original letter from the child. They will then purchase the requested gift and send it directly to the agency to be given to the child on the holiday. In 2007, close to 3,000 children were served by this program.

The Frosty's Friends intern will be involved in all parts of the process. Tasks will include: contacting agencies for participation, outreach to volunteers and groups, matching children's letters, ensuring the timely delivery of letters and gifts.

Must be well-organized and able to multi-task.  Start and end dates are flexible, but would ideally begin around September 8 and end around December 15.  The internship will be between 10-20 hours per week, with a few night time hours.
