Usher at Musica Sacra for "A New Birth of Freedom"
A New Birth of Freedom: Music Celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation and the Gettysburg Address. The concert will feature Jacqueline Schwab, the pianist on the soundtrack of Ken Burns' documentary "The Civil War". And, thanks to a generous grant from the Cambridge Arts Council, we will be joined by students from Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School who will recite statements lit from the fires of 1863 whose heat can be felt even today.
Business dress is recommended for this event.
