Summer TeamWorks 2013: Food Cycle Team

Boston Cares TeamWorks Program is focused on facilitating the shift from casual volunteering to intentional citizenship. Each team consists of a series of three to five projects you participate in with a group to learn about specific issues, organizations and/or communities encountered through volunteerism. Summer TeamWorks 2013 has four teams this year. Read below for more information about this specific team:

Team: Food Cycle Team

Serve and distribute food all across Greater Boston by volunteering as a team at local food banks, kitchens, and even at a school. 

* Tuesday, May 7th from 6:00pm-7:30pm
   Boston Cares Summer TeamWorks Kick-Off!

*Friday, May 10th from 1:00pm-4:00pm, Cook for the Critically Ill at Community     Servings

* Saturday, June 1st from 8:30am-12:00pm, Distribute Food at the American          Red Cross Food Pantry

* Wednesday, June 19th from 4:00pm-8:00pm, Set Up and Distribute Food at        the Greater Boston Food Bank's Mobile Pantry in Jamaica Plain's Hennigan School

* Saturday, June 29th from 9:30am-12:00pm, Sort and Inspect Food at the            Greater Boston Food Bank

Please be mindful when signing up for this team as you’ll need to commit to 3 out of the 4 projects.

This TeamWorks opportunity is reserved for volunteers that have already attended a Boston Cares New Volunteer Orientation.

This TeamWorks opportunity is also only available for ages 18+.
