Old Version: Knit for the Greater Good for Youth in Need!

Utilize your knitting skills to help the greater good! Join other volunteers to knit or crochet hats, scarves, mittens, and other warm items for kids in Boston.

Caps for Kids is a 100% volunteer group which distributes knitted/crocheted  warm winter items to children in Boston schools (pre-school and elementary), hospitals and community health centers, and community organizations, such as Cradles to Crayons, and Metro Boston Housing Partnership.  Over 10,000 items are distributed each year in December to almost 50 sites.

Knitters of all levels are welcome, but please be sure to bring your own needles and yarn. Hats and other items are needed to fit kids of all ages (newborn to 18 years old). Don’t know how to knit/crochet? Join us for a Learn to Knit & Crochet project.
