2nd Annual Boston Urban Arts Festival w/Save Our Streets

 "Our goal is to guide and support those within our community in following their dreams, and by doing so, promote the positive development of the Boston community as a whole. We want to create a dynamic network of organizations within the city to promote the many development programs currently offered, to those who could use them most. SOS’s goal is to motivate our community to take advantage of all the great opportunities available to city residents."

On Saturday July 19th, SOS is hosting it's annunal Urban Arts Festival, supporting dozens of local artists.  Vendors will be selling art, food, playing music, and hosting various games and activities for kids and families.  The goal of this festival is to inspire a love of art and culture within the community!

Volunteers are needed to help run the show.  Below are a list of volunteer jobs. This project runs from 11:00am-6pm. Volunteers are not required to stay the whole time, you can volunteer for as long as you would like.  Volunteers can connect with Fitzgerald David, founder and director of Save Our Streets to coordinate which volunteer role they would like to particiapte in!!

  • Set up & take down
  • Stage Manager -we have performances so making sure the bands get help setting up, next group is ready, etc.
  • Decorations – Help set up table, balloons, posters, and other decorations
  • Kids’ activities: tug-o-war, dodge ball, obstacle courses
  • Face Painting: artists needed 
  • Parking help: coordinate traffic and parking
