Citizenship Class Assistance @ St Marks Community Education Program
As part of its Citizenship for all Project, St Mark's Community Education Program citizenship class assistants will provide classroom support to volunteer instructors who will lead citizenship classes in libraries, health centers, YMCA’s and other community spaces.
This class prepares students for all parts of their Citizenship test: literacy test, 100 questions about U.S. history and government, as well as, help with improving speaking and listening abilities in English.
St Mark’s Community Education Program's (SMCEP) mission is to build a vibrant and flourishing community by providing English language and Citizenship educational skill development and access that adult immigrants and their families need to fully participate in the U.S. society. St. Mark's has been offering successful citizenship classes for more than 10 years. SMCEP is partnered with the Project Citizenship which provides applicants free technical and legal help in completing their applications for citizenship.
