Fall Teamworks 2014: Service Sampler Express Interest

Boston Cares TeamWorks Program is focused on facilitating the shift from casual volunteering to intentional citizenship. Each team consists of a series of three to five projects, where you participate in with a group to learn about specific issues, organizations and/or communities encountered through volunteerism. Read below for more information about this specific team:
 
Team: Service Sampler
 
Are you interested in volunteering at a variety of places in the Greater Boston Area? Do you want to make a difference while working on a team? Come join the Service Sampler team and have a blast volunteering at four different non-profit organizations while building friendships with your teammates! You will participate in a variety of projects such as The Greater Boston Food Pantry, Prison Book Program, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, and Community Servings. 
 
     Thursday, September 18 from 6:00pm-7:00pm
      Boston Cares Fall TeamWorks Kick-Off!
 
     Wednesday, September 24 from 5:30pm-8:00pm
     Greater Boston Food Pantry: Sort  Inspect Donations
 
     Saturday, October 4 from 1:00pm-4:00pm 
     Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk: Help Set Up

     Tuesday, October 14 from 6:30pm-9:00pm 
     Prison Book Program: Select Books for Prisoners

     Tuesday, October 21 from 6:00pm-8:00pm 
     Community Servings: Prepare Meals for the Critically Ill

 
Please be mindful when committing to this team that these organizations depend on a specific volunteer group size in order to provide their services. Attendance at all projects is extremely important.
