Bears Soccer Program: Youth Special Needs Soccer With Newton Athletes Unlimited

Spend your Saturday with the Bears Soccer program helping to teach soccer skills to children with disabilities ages 10-17. Newton Athletes Unlimited is dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and adults with disabilities through year-round recreation and leisure programs. It is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 by Newton parents of children with disabilities to support the City of Newton's therapeutic recreation programs.
You do not have to be an experienced soccer player to help with this program. You just need to have a willingness to engage with the athletes, encourage them to do their best and enjoy being outside! Volunteers with work 1:1 with athletes as well as in groups to have fun and learn some soccer!


Teen-Friendly, 16+. All volunteers under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old.All volunteers under 18 years old must bring a Permission Form signed by a parent or guardian to give to the Project Leader.  

This project is reserved for Boston Cares members who have attended an orientation.  

Transportation is not provided. If you have transportation concerns, contact the Volunteer Leader listed below, and he/she will see if a carpool can be arranged with the other volunteers.
