Opportunity Details

Let's talk Tech! Basic ELL and Computer Skills with St. Mark's Education

Volunteers will work with ELL students to master basic technology skills and practice their English at the same time!  No former tutoring experience is required and technology skills will be basic. Teachers will already have a curriculum and activities in place and will utilize volunteers to break the class into small groups and run focused activities and assignments.  


This opportunity is reserved for Boston Cares members who have completed an orientation.

About the St. Mark Community Education Program:
SMCEP provides English classes and support in attaining citizenship to adult immigrants and their families in Dorchester, MA and surrounding towns.  It was formed on the belief that compassion, commitment to inclusion, and mutual respect are fundamental to our neighborhoods' growth and well-being. A number of caring people from St. Mark Parish established SMCEP in 2005.
