Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service 2015

On Monday, January 19th, 2015 Boston Cares will partner with the Office of the Mayor of Boston, the Massachusetts Service Alliance and the YOU Generate Campaign, and Target to celebrate the life and legacy of MLK Jr.

We will gather at the Madison Park Vocational Technical High School and we ask that individuals, families, troops, clubs and other groups come out and help us honor MLK, Jr. and make a positive difference in our community!

On MLK Day 2015, 700 volunteers will meet community needs focused on children and homelessness. Our youth-serving projects will include creating Bedtime Dream Kits that include a Dream Catcher & Dream Journal, and lap desks that students can use where they live if there is no comfortable space for them to do homework. These products will be donated along with toddler beds to children transitioning out of homelessness and into their new homes.

This is a fun, flexible, and family friendly event! Space is limited so sign up soon!
Pre-registration is required!
