Volunteer for a WGBH Documentary Screening
Volunteers are needed for the upcoming screening and panel discussion of "Ken Burns Presents Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies."
Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer by Siddhartha Mukherjee, M.D., CANCER is a six-hour documentary film coming to public TV. It covers the first documented appearances of cancer thousands of years ago through the epic battles in the 20th century to cure, control and conquer the disease.
Following a preview of film highlights, producer and director Barak Goodman will moderate a panel discussion with George D. Demetri, M.D., and David G. Nathan, M.D. from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Nancy Koehn, James Robison Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School.
Volunteer food and beverage hosts, Greeters/Ushers/Mic Holders, and Registration support are needed during the event.
This project is reserved for Boston Cares volunteers that have atteneded an orientation.
