ESOL Corps Open Training: Classroom Tips & Tricks

 

2015 is the year to increase you impact as a volunteer and expand the resources available to English Language Learners in the Greater Boston Area as part of the Boston Cares ESOL Corps. This is the second quarterly training of the ESOL Corps and a chance for new volunteers to engage with the ESOL Corps Programming

At the Boston Cares ESOL Corps Open Training, you will meet and be introduced to the Corps volunteer projects at 
our key ESOL Corps partner sites: Project Hope, St. Mark Community Education Program, and the YMCA International Learning Center. The training will also include sections from experienced educators from United South End Settlements and our partner sites around cultural sensitivity and classroom tips & tricks to be an effective ESOL tutor. 

This training is your gateway to the Boston Cares ESOL
 CorpsAll participants of the training are encouraged to become a part of this inaugural Corps.


Light Refreshments & coffee will be provided at the training session.

This opportunity is open to Boston Cares members who have attended an orientation. 



                                          About the ESOL CORPS Program

The Boston Cares ESOL Corps Program launched in mid-February as an exciting and new integrative program.  The Corps program is an impact driven opportunity for volunteers dedicated to building and strengthening their skill sets, deepening their community engagement and making a difference in the lives of Greater Bostonians. The Corps Program combines Boston Cares' signature flexibility with a focused commitment to an impact area, and the resources to make a measureable change.

                                   
ESOL Corps members will be given an exclusive invitation code that will grant exclusive access to "Corps Only" ESOL volunteer opportunities at St. Mark Community Education Program, YMCA International Learning Center, and Project Hope!
