High School Equivalency Math Tutoring at X-Cel (Sportsmen's Tennis Center)

Teach Basic math and Beginning Algebra skills to adult students who are preparing for their High School Equivalency exam. The math instruction will be done individually and in small groups. All math instruction materials will be provided by X-Cel. 

For first time volunteers, experienced volunteers will be present in addition to the project leader to offer advice, support and direction. No advanced math skills are needed for this project.

Adult Education was founded in 2000 by two adult educators with the vision of providing quality adult education services to residents of Greater Boston. X-Cel’s mission is to make high school completion, post-secondary study, and sustainable career paths more accessible to underserved communities in Greater Boston, by providing flexible, customized instruction and career readiness development at no cost in convenient community locations.
 
Each X-Cel center is in need of some crucial supplies to help them provide the best learning environment to their students. Please consider donating the following items:
  • 1-1/2" Three Ring Binders
  • Folders
  • Pencils
  • Erasers
  • Calculators - TI-30XS ONLY [This is the specific calculator used in HSE exams]
