Express New Volunteer Orientation and Project: Boston Living Center

*PLEASE NOTE: This opportunity is for NEW VOLUNTEERS ONLY (those who have NOT previously attended an Orientation). If you are already an active volunteer and would like to volunteer at Boston Living Center, please click here*

Boston Cares is a flexible volunteer agency that connects individuals with volunteer opportunities throughout Greater Boston. To become a Boston Cares member and begin signing up for projects online, you must attend a brief, one-time New Volunteer Orientation.

By signing up for this Express Orientation, you will be able to attend an accelerated orientation immediately followed by a volunteer project. This gives you the opportunity to learn about Boston Cares, meet fellow volunteers, and start volunteering right away!
The accelerated orientation will cover important information about Boston Cares, our community partners and walk you through how to sign up for volunteer projects on our Calendar.

About Boston Living Center:

Victory Programs' Boston Living Center offers meals, education, social services, and a supportive environment to those infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS. After your orientation, you will help prepare and serve a delicious meal for members and friends! Please be prepared to help with tasks ranging from serving meals to washing dishes. No kitchen experience required!

A healthy warm meal is provided to volunteers. This project is fast paced and requires volunteers to stand for the majority of the opportunity. If this is a concern, please contact the Volunteer Leader. Volunteers are required to wear hats (if you do not bring a hat you will be supplied with one) and should not wear open-toed shoes or tank tops.

Please note that Boston Cares collects a one-time registration fee from all new members. The registration fee is used to cover the costs associated with managing volunteer projects. The fee will be collected at your New Volunteer Orientation session, and can be paid using cash (exact change only), check (made out to Boston Cares) or a credit card.

The registration fee structure is:
-$25 for individual members (exact change ONLY)

-$40 for families
