Help the Democracy Center Clean their Basement!
The Democracy Center works to foster a more vibrant local and global democracy by supporting more sustainable, united and stronger communities of action. We do this by providing non-profits and other groups, which directly promote our mission, affordable space for meetings, events, fundraisers, etc. and by connecting student organizers to local campaigns. Volunteers are needed to help with phase three of the basement clean-out, which will allow the building to host even more community events. Volunteers will help with cleaning and organizing, taking electronic waste to a disposal site, painting offices, and generally sprucing up as winter approaches. Lunch will be provided. Volunteers need to wear clothes they can get dirty as well as be able to lift 20 lbs and move up and down stairs. We do not recommend this event for people under 14 or with allergies to dust or mold or who have asthma. T-accessible: Red Line (Harvard Square) This project is for Boston Cares members who have completed an orientation.
