Harvest Seeds of Hope

Ripples of Hope is proud to announce the 2017 launch of the Harvesting Seeds of Hope program! We are excited to partner once again with Pine Street Inn to create sustainable access to healthy vegetables for the residents of Pine Street Inn - Paul Sullivan Housing Unit located in Jamaica Plain. The goal of this program is to provide an opportunity for Pine Street Inn residents to learn the basics of growing and harvesting fresh vegetables, the importance of fresh produce in maintaining a healthy diet and to provide an opportunity for residents to connect with their surrounding community.

Weekly volunteers will have the opportunity to help maintain and harvest the garden side by side with residents of the Paul Sullivan House. Once finished in the garden the group will move inside to participate in the weekly arts and crafts activity.

T-Accessible: Green Street (Orange Line)

This project is reserved for Boston Cares members who have completed an orientation.

About Ripples of Hope: Ripples of Hope is a non-profit organization which brings families, and leaders together with the understanding that we are more alike than we are different. We strive to inspire and support the next generation of leaders by helping young people discover their leadership potential while leading service teams. By identifying leaders, Ripples becomes a catalyst for propelling communities forward thus planting the seeds for greater change.

The Harvesting Seeds of Hope program is designed to provide healthy vegetables for the residents of the Paul Sullivan Housing Unit located at 82 Green Street, Jamaica Plain.
