Build the ZUMIX Radio Digital Music Library
Help us help ZUMIX Radio build and organize their rapidly growing digital music library, in preparation for their transition to Low Power FM. Starting September 17th, ZUMIX Radio will be the first and only youth-powered radio station on the FM dial.
Join our vibrant community and help this historic project get off the
ground!
The volunteer's role will be to methodically go through the music Zumix has collected, and will continue to collect, and check the lyrics of each song to make sure it is FCC clean and can legally be played on the radio. All songs that do not meet FCC requirements need to be deleted from the library.
About ZUMIX:
Founded in 1991, ZUMIX offers award-winning programs in songwriting, performance, radio, audio technology, and theater for youth ages 7-18. Each year we serve over 1,000 youth through our programs and school partnerships. This year, ZUMIX celebrates its silver anniversary and 25th year of operations, and the launching of our community radio station.
This project is for Boston Cares members that have completed an orientation.
