Be a Patient Activities Leader for Adults Experiencing Homeless


Bring your creative skills and uplifting spirits to the Boston Health Care for the Homeless program!  Volunteers will help to run fun, interactive, and engaging activities for adults staying in BHCHP's medical respite facilities, the Barbara McInnis House and the Stacy Kirkpatrick House. Examples of activities include arts & crafts, cookie decorating, board games, bingo, Wii, computer training, and movies! Volunteers need to be comfortable working with adults experiencing homelessness in a hospital setting!

This volunteer opportunity is reserved for Boston Cares members who have attended an Orientation!



Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program Mission Statement:
Since 1985 the mission of BHCHP has been to provide or assure access to the highest quality health care for Boston's homeless men, women, and children. Boston Health Care for the Homeless provides care to more than 12,500 men, women, and children every year. Boston Health Care for the Homeless has a unique model that offers comprehensive care at approximately 70 locations throughout Boston in partnership with shelters, food programs, and other homeless population support agencies.
