Volunteer.   Shawmut Corridor Gardens Description: MISSION The mission of the Shawmut Corridor Gardens project is to promote community pride and cleanliness by decreasing litter and gardening at the Shawmut Train station. DESCRIPTION Shawmut Corridor Gardens is overseen by the Melville Park Association which promotes community development. Every first Saturday of the month, the Association cleans, plants and weeds the area near the Shawmut MBTA station. IMPACT Annually, approximately 100 volunteers contribute 500 volunteer hours to maintaining the Shawmut Corridor Gardens.
