Agency: Boston Cares
Description:
Project Leaders are the backbone of the work we do at Boston Cares. The quantity and diversity of projects that are on the monthly calendar directly correlates with the number of active Project Leaders.
The course will cover how to lead a project, the functionality of our website, and tips for making each volunteer experience engaging and exciting.
Becoming a Project Leader is a great way to increase your impact as a volunteer and gain leadership skills. To qualify for this training, you must already be a current Boston Cares member who has attended at least three Boston Cares Calendar Projects.
What Boston Cares members have to say about the Project Leader Training:
"I recommend being a Project Leader because it expands your experience as a volunteer. As a Project Leader, you are the contact into the partner agency - and this often gives you a deeper understanding of the organization, its mission and the staff. This added insight is also information you can (should) share with your volunteers to expand their experience as well. Being a Project Leader definitely makes you a more well-rounded volunteer!"
~Carolyn Orfanella
"The course was great. The facilitator did a wonderful job of explaining all of the duties/responsibilities of Project Leadership for Boston Cares. The session was well organized and the information package that we received is going to be very helpful for leading future projects." ~Stacey Scott
