ServiceWorks Volunteer Spring Kickoff & Boston Cares New Volunteer Orientation
Interested in getting involved with ServiceWorks?
ServiceWorks is a national service-based learning program that empowers local 16-24 year olds to build up our communities and shrink the opportunity gap by involving them with service and helping them to design their own projects. We are looking for volunteers to assist us in delivering the 5-module course, help with service projects and act as success coaches for the scholars to set personal and professional goals.
Come to the Boston Cares office and get oriented in ServiceWorks with only a 2x per month commitment with our numerous cohorts.
We are currently running cohorts with:
* Boston Public Health Commission; M 4:30-6:00 PM
* Boston Green Academy; M,T,Th 1:00-2:00 PM
* College Bound Dorchester; Th 12:45-2:00PM
* MATCH High School; Th 4:20-5:30 PM
* Edward M Kennedy Academy; 4 cohorts F between 7:30 AM-1:30 PM
During this Kickoff Event, we will have a Boston Cares New Volunteer Orientation from 10:00-10:45 AM for new members. For existing members, sign-in will begin at 10:30 AM along with breakfast. The ServiceWorks Program Orientation will begin at 11:00 AM followed by lunch and a more in depth training on facilitation.
18+ only. All volunteers are also required to complete a CORI background check through Boston Cares.
