My belief in Boston Cares has always been about building bridges between community causes that need help and people eager to make a difference. Because of you – Boston Cares’ magnificent volunteers, partners, staff and friends – that’s exactly what we do; and I couldn’t be more grateful for what we accomplish every year.
I am asking you to join me in supporting the continuing work of Boston Cares by donating to our annual appeal. Why should you donate?
Donate because you believe that every individual has something to offer. From helping 200 immigrants gain English language proficiency to making 750,000 meals possible for people struggling with food insecurity, Boston Cares volunteers are difference makers for people who are looking for a hand up, not a hand-out.
Donate because you believe that citizen participation strengthens democracy and because 80% of Boston Cares members are more deeply engaged in the community because of volunteering.
Donate because it takes a lot behind the scenes to fill 20,000 volunteer opportunities each year. HandsOn Technology, the photocopier, staff health insurance, rent - we have bills to pay, help us pay them!
Donate because you believe that Service Unites and you love being part of a vibrant volunteer community where people routinely check their differences at the door and come together for something bigger than themselves.
Donate because you want to be sure our team gets off to a strong start in 2019, pouring everything they can into initiatives that make it exceptionally easy for thousands of volunteers of all ages to serve others in powerful ways 365 days a year.
Donate so Boston Cares can keep making a world of difference right here in our own back yard.
Thank you so much for supporting Boston Cares and all the best for the holiday season and New Year.
