Opportunity Details

Saturday STEAM TeamWorks

Boston Cares TeamWorks Program focuses on facilitating the shift from casual volunteering to intentional citizenship. Participation includes serving with a team of 6-12 individuals on a series of three to five projects, with various organizations. Teams will also participate in a service learning activity to enhance the impact of their work.

Join the Saturday STEAM Team!

STEAM Saturday is designed as an exciting opportunity for our students in grades K to 8 to explore, discover, and learn outside the traditional classroom and be inspired to uncover their passion, gain motivation, and become lifelong learners. Across four Saturdays, students will engage in hands-on, interactive, and fun learning activities in a diverse selection of topics in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.

STEAM Enrichment programs are on Saturdays. Help is needed for signing students in, walking them to their classrooms, handing out name tags, walking kids from one classroom to the next, handing out papers, walking kids to the water fountain. Very simple tasks! If you want you could also help out in the enrichment courses, if that interests you, for example you could help kids with their projects, help with cutting with scissors for younger kids, help the teacher distribute supplies. There will be a lot of fun art and science enrichment courses happening. From art to coding - this is a fun volunteer opportunity for those who can be flexible and adaptable while working with children!
