Opportunity Details

Prospect Hill Academy STEAM Saturdays!

Join the STEAM Saturdays Team!

Overview: STEAM Saturday is an exciting opportunity for the students of Prospect Hill Academy in grades K to 8 to explore, discover, and learn outside the traditional classroom and be inspired to uncover their passion, gain motivation, and become lifelong learners.  Across the Saturdays, students will engage in hands-on, interactive, and fun learning activities in a diverse selection of topics in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.

PHA is looking for volunteers in the following categories: operations/ registration volunteer & classroom volunteer. The operations and registration volunteers will complete tasks like helping students sign in, getting their name tags, assisting in breakfast set up and breakdown, snack distribution, walking students during transitions to their enrichment activities, and dismissal.

Their classroom volunteers will assist the volunteer teacher during enrichment activities by passing out materials, helping students with instructions, walking students to the water fountain or bathroom, etc. Their classroom volunteers should be comfortable working with students in grades K-8. This is a perfect volunteer opportunity for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and enjoys spending time with youth.

*Volunteers are required to take and pass a CORI form process to be able to volunteer with PHA

Volunteers will need to be able to commit to all four dates for STEAM Saturday programming. They will also need to attend the MANDATORY Volunteer Training Session.

- for Fall 2023: Wednesday, September 20th from 6-7 pm

If you would still like to volunteer, but can't attend all the sessions in a Cohort, please reach out to Kim Le at KLe@phacs.org.
