Youth Education Corps

Corps volunteers are a part of a network of volunteers who share a passion for enhancing educational opportunities for local youth. Corps volunteers deepen their community engagement by committing to serve twice a month through the Corps and attending skill building opportunities.

We are looking for volunteers who are:

 

 All Youth Education Corps Volunteers will need to complete and pass a CORI Background check 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Check out our partners for the Youth Education Corps:

                                                                             

    • Tutoring Plus of Cambridge (opportunities from 6PM-7:30PM weekly) – Tutors are paired with an Elementary school, Middle School, and High School student for the semester
      • Locations:
      • Fresh Pond (next to Alewife)
      • Central Square and Lechmere
      • Jefferson Park (near Alewife)

 

    • Steppingstone Foundation (opportunities on Saturdays from 9:30AM-1:00PM) – Tutors support students with their homework and meet regularly with the same Scholar (at least two Saturdays per month).
      • Location: Boston Latin Academy in Dorchester

 

    • Hyde Square Task Force (most opportunities Wednesday-Thursday 6PM-8PM) – Mentor Tutors work with small groups or one-on-one providing academic support and mentoring
      • Location: Jamaica Plain (Orange Line – Jackson Square)
