ELL Conversation Group and Writing Support at Project Hope
Project Hope is looking for dynamic and reliable volunteers to work with us to support our ELL conversation group and provide writing support for English Language Learners. Volunteers need to be friendly, patient, and comfortable engaging with a diverse group of adult learners
Project Hope creates an environment of mutual respect which honors and builds upon the existing strengths of each woman, using a holistic, participatory approach to build academic skills; foster personal growth and leadership; provide opportunities for career exploration; connect to next steps in education, training and/or the workforce.
T-Accessible: Commuter Rail to Uphams Corner, Red Line to JFK +bus
About Project Hope
Project Hope works in partnership with families so they can move up and out of poverty. Project hope serves as a catalyst for change in the lives of families and in the systems that keep them poor: developing and providing family support solutions for homelessness and poverty; and advocating for just public policies which strengthen families. The staff of Adult Educational Services accompanies women on a journey of lifelong learning in a way that supports their continued development as confident, responsible and active leaders of their own lives, their families and their communities.
