goCreate: Craft a Kindness Chain and Peace Posters to Spread Positivity!
This project is intended for families and young volunteers. In order to attend, you must be either under the age of 18, or accompanying a youth volunteer. Please email arodriguez@bostoncares.org if you are bringing a child. All volunteers under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old. All volunteers under 18 years old must bring a Permission Form signed by a parent or guardian to give to the Volunteer Leader. In support of the Martin Richard Bridge Builder campaign, volunteers will pledge to incorporate non-violence, encouragement, tolerance, fairness, togetherness, and acts of kindness in their daily lives by adding goals to a positivity chain. Participants will also create peace posters to promote self-confidence and the strength to overcome the effects of bullying, mental health disorders, and low self-worth. The finished projects will be given to the Gardner Pilot Academy in Allston, MA to spread Martin Richard's message of peace to children throughout the school.
