Join the ESOL (Classroom) Corps!

Make an impact with the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Corps!

We are looking for fresh faces to join existing Corps Volunteers in helping to transform people’s lives. Teach a grandparent to communicate with their grandchild, help adult learners expand their job search, or assist someone in gaining citizenship by developing adult learner's English skills through the ESOL (Classroom) Corps!

Corps volunteers are a part of a network of volunteers who share a passion for enhancing English skills for adult learners. Volunteers serve as classroom support, and help students prepare for the TOEFL exams at 3 partner organizations focused on adult ESOL education. Corps volunteers deepen their community engagement by committing to serve twice-a-month through the Corps and attending skill building opportunities.

See a complete list of expectations and benefits of the Corps program, here.

We are looking for volunteers who are interested in:

1. Joining the ESOL (Classroom) Corps Program and meeting the Corps expectations, including serving 2 times/month at one of our Corps partner sites

2. Working in classrooms and community centers one-on-one with adult learners to build English Language Skills.

3. Working with a diverse population of volunteers and adult learners and comfortable with cultural differences.
