Get Involved

Boston Cares offers a wide array of programs and opportunities that make it easy for you to volunteer no matter how busy your schedule is. Each month we manage more than 250 direct service volunteer projects that make an impact on the community. We arrange and organize the projects, so you can dedicate your time to volunteering and not searching for a project that suits your needs.

To get started, select the statement that best describes you:

  1. Create an online account.
  2. Sign up for a New Volunteer Orientation.
  3. Attend a New Volunteer Orientation. Please note: we ask a one-time tax-deductible activation fee ($25 for individuals, $40 for families, $15 for students, seniors and unemployed, and no fee for active AmeriCorps members)  to gain full access to 200+ projects on our calendar.
  4. After attending an orientation, you will get full membership access to our calendar of projects and you are ready to go!

REMEMBER: Bring a minor consent form signed by your parent or guardian with you to every project, or we won't be able to use your help. Turn your form in to your Project Leader upon your arrival.
