Dorchester House Multi-Service Center aims to play a vital role in their diverse community’s efforts to achieve the highest levels of health, well being and quality of life, by providing affordable, accessible and exceptional health and human services to all - regardless of ability to pay. Originally founded as a settlement house 117 years ago, Dorchester House Multi-Service Center (DHMSC) has evolved into a community-based full-service health center offering primary and specialty medical care to people of all ages. The services offered by DHMSC include primary care and behavioral health, fitness activities, comprehensive out-of-school programs for youth, a food pantry and related services, and chronic disease management. The DHMSC has recently renovated and expanded its facilities and now offers 56,000 square feel of space that provides a health center, gymnasium and a swimming pool. DHMSC is a founding member of the Boston HealthNet and is affiliated with the Boston Medical Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Carney Hospital, and New England Medical Center. DHMSC provides services for approximately 20,000 people annually.
