Prepare and Serve Food for BostonWarm
In January 2015 in response to the closing of the Long Island Bridge, a coalition of religious leaders came together in response to this crisis and established two BostonWarm Day Centers. These centers provided critical practical, personal and nonjudgmental support for hundreds of unhoused neighbors throughout that record breaking winter.
Common Cathedral now manages these BostonWarm shelters and volunteers are needed on Mondays to help prepare and serve a warm meal to guests seeking shelter. Volunteer duties may include serving the meal, cleaning up in the kitchen, keeping drink stations stocked. Volunteers should be able to stand for long periods of time.
