Community Partnerships Manager

The Community Partnerships Manager will play a key role in developing and managing relationships with our nonprofit and school partners, ensuring regular communication and support to help collaboratively meet their volunteer needs, and working as part of a team to implement our strategic plan. Reporting to the Director of Corporate & Community Engagement, the Community Partnerships Manager will ensure a robust portfolio of community-responsive programming on our Calendar, with wrap-around services from our corporate engagement program.

Open Commonwealth Corps Service Year Positions

Two Full-Time Commonwealth Corps members will serve as part of our Allies for Immigrants program in partnership with English for New Bostonians. Members will serve as Program Coordinators supporting the growth and development of the Allies program by recruiting, training, and supporting volunteer ESOL tutors, and developing systems and tools to facilitate stronger engagement, including additional in-service trainings and roundtables to improve retention and build a sustainable tutor base. They will maintain 110 active volunteer tutors serving with 12 programs in Dorchester, East Boston, Roslindale, Allston, Chinatown, and Quincy. 

Boston Cares Allies for Immigrants Commonwealth Corps Program Coordinator

The Boston Cares member will serve as a Commonwealth Corps Program Coordinator, supporting the growth and development of the Allies program by recruiting, training, and supporting volunteer ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) tutors, and developing systems and tools to facilitate stronger engagement, including the continued development of the Allies Peer Leadership Program a peer leadership program to build sustainable capacity. 

ENB Allies for Immigrants Commonwealth Corps Program Outreach Coordinator

The English for New Bostonians member will serve as a Commonwealth Corps Program Outreach Coordinator, supporting the growth and development of the Allies program by recruiting, training and supporting volunteer ESOL tutors, and developing systems and tools to facilitate stronger engagement, including continued development of the Allies Peer Leadership Program to build sustainable capacity.

 

Open Part Time Opportunities

In addition to the experienced Boston Cares staff who lead Hands at Work projects, we frequently need to supplement staff with trained and confident Corporate Project Leaders (CPL) and Corporate Project Coordinators (CPC) for high-quality, high-impact, and effective days of service.
