Volunteers are needed to sort through produce and dry goods, assemble bags, moving and unloading boxes, and cleaning the workspace.
About the Organization: Maverick Landing Community Services (MLCS) is a multi-service organization with a primary focus on helping children, youth, and adults to build 21st-century skills.Their mission is to enhance the lives of the culturally and economically diverse residents of Maverick Landing, East Boston, and surrounding communities by motivating people to achieve economic, educational, and personal goals. MLCS also links people to support systems, creating leadership opportunities, and strengthening youth, families, and community.
When COVID-19 hit, MLCS decided to make some necessary pivots and started a food program for their community that bloomed from serving 50 of our residents to over 500 families around East Boston! The special part about this program, is that it would not be able to operate without the help of volunteers!
