Neighborhood New Volunteer Orientation - Boston Living Center

In a city like Boston, a place of boundless variety and opportunity, most of us call a few city blocks our neighborhood; our home. Our neighborhood isn’t just where we live and work; it’s where we have the greatest opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Neighborhood New Volunteer Orientations will serve to connect local volunteers with the communities in which they will be serving.

Join us for an orientation held at Boston Living Center, an organization that offers meals, education, social services, and a supportive environment for those infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
This orientation will provide a space for volunteers to meet Boston Cares staff and each other, learn how to navigate our website, how to sign up for projects, and discover volunteer opportunities in Back Bay that we partner with.

Please note that Boston Cares collects a one-time registration fee from all new members. The registration fee is used to cover the costs associated with managing volunteer projects. The fee is tax deductible, will be collected at your New Volunteer Orientation session, and can be paid using cash, check or a credit card. The registration fee schedule is:

  • $25 for individual members
  • $40 for families
  • $15 for students, seniors and unemployed
  • Fee waived for active duty military personnel, active AmeriCorps volunteers and Middle, & High Schoolers.
Youth-friendly, 13+. All youth may register and attend orientations on their own. All volunteers under 18 years old must bring a Permission Form signed by a parent or guardian to give to the Project Leader. Please email youth@bostoncares.org or call 617-422-0910 x208 if you have any questions.
