Reshelf & Organize Books at Brand New Library Space for Prospect Hill Academy
The library at Prospect Hill Academy's Upper Elementary school, which serves students in grades 4-6, just got a makeover!
We need your help to re-shelf and organize the books in our gorgeous new space. We will also be ordering books in the following ways:
1) Fiction: alphabetical order by spine label (author last name)
2) Non-fiction and reference: numerical order by Dewey Decimal number and author letters
Volunteers should be prepared to lift boxes and move many books. Please wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in.
About Prospect Hill Academy Charter School:
PHACS is one of the largest charter schools in Massachusetts, and serves 1,150 students in grades K-12 from diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds. 55% are black (the majority of Haitian origin), 21% are Hispanic, 12% are white, 9% are Asian, and 3% are of mixed races. 65% are low-income according to free and reduced lunch reporting, and 45% do not speak English in the home.
