goLEAD (generationOn Leadership, Education, and Development) is an innovative solution to equip middle and high school aged youth with invaluable 21st century skills that will allow them to change themselves and the world through service.

A state-of-the-art training program, goLEAD teaches leadership, project planning, and management skills through 30 hours of experiential goLEAD team-building activities. These activities, developed by the Center for Creative Leadership, center around nine modules that equip participants with the resources to initiate a capstone service project.

Boston Cares is proud to implement the goLEAD curriculum through our Teen Advisory Council and Learn & goLEAD initiatives.

Teen Advisory Council

Join a group of up to 20 service-minded teens as they identify and address a community need through the development of a large-scale service project which will be completed by volunteers at our annual Global Youth Service Day event.

Junior Teen Advisory Council

In 2016, Boston Cares launched our Junior Teen Advisory Council specifically for middle school aged students who are ready to jump into developing their own service projects.
