Join us for Family Volunteer Day
Come out and make a difference with families from all over Boston! On Saturday, November 23, 2019, volunteers of all ages and their families and friends will gather at the Boston Cares' office to participate in the nation-wide Family Volunteer Day, a signature Points of Light day of service, powered by generationOn.
Join us from 10am -12pm as we work together to create workforce development materials for adults and teens in Boston. Projects include career workbooks, mock interview flashcards, padfolios, and joy jars.
Kid Friendly, 5+. If you at least 15 years old and have registered with Boston Cares, you may sign up and attend Family Volunteer Day on your own.
This project is open to Pending members who have registered with Boston Cares. You do not need to have attended an orientation.
All volunteers under 18 years old must bring a Permission Form signed by a parent or guardian to turn in at registration. Please email or call Olivia Peterson with any questions: firstname.lastname@example.org, 617-422-0910 x 209.
If a family/group member is under 13 years old: First, please register and sign up any group members who are over 13. Then immediately email Shannon Murray, email@example.com, 617-422-0910 x 209. with 5-12 year old participants' full names and birthdates (00/00/0000).
Groups of volunteers must sign up with at least 1 adult volunteer (age 18+) for every 3 youth volunteers (ages 17 and under).
