Serve Thanksgiving Day Meal at New England Center and Home for Veterans
Celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday by serving the Thanksgiving Day meal to the Veteran residents at the New England Center and Home for Veterans (NECHV). Volunteers will be serving the Thanksgiving staples - turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, etc. - along with delicious pies and desserts. Volunteers will also assist in the dining hall serving as wait and support staff, cleaning dining areas for new diners and assisted mobility challenged Veterans in getting their meal and to their table.
Please wear: Closed toed shoes, casual attire is appropriate but no shorts, sleeveless shirts or tank tops. Baseball caps need to be worn, or the kitchen staff can provide hairnets. Aprons and gloves provided by NECHV.

The New England Center and Home for Veterans is the nation's first and largest veteran-specific homeless shelter. NECHV provides a wide spectrum of supportive services to homeless veterans that include housing, counseling, vocational training, job search workshops, living skills and health-related programs.
