Stock Food at the Elizabeth Peabody House Food Pantry

For Monday Volunteers: During this volunteer opportunity, the EPH Food Pantry coordinator and volunteers travel via van to the Greater Boston Food Bank to pick up their weekly food order. 

Volunteers are asked to arrive at the Elizabeth Peabody House Food Pantry office building (275 Broadway, a pink house building) by9:50am and leave with the coordinator by 10:00am. Activities include loading up and unloading the van followed by stocking the EPH pantry.

For Wednesday Volunteers: Please arrive at the Elizabeth Peabody House Food Pantry (277 Broadway) at  12:00pm. You will assist with stocking, organizing, and unloading deliveries to get the EPH pantry ready for distribution. 

The EPH food pantry coordinator is the acting volunteer leader for this Boston Cares volunteer opportunity.

All volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather as they will be inside and outdoors when transporting items; be sure to wear sneakers or work boots (no open toed shoes or sandals, please). Gloves can be handy, especially in the colder months. Volunteers should be able to comfortably lift at least 25 lbs.


Volunteers are essential for this project and attendance is expected. Please make sure you are able to attend before you sign up! 

This opportunity is open to Boston Cares members who have attended an orientation.
