Opportunity Details
Join a Virtual Book Club!
Let's get together virtually to meet other volunteers and to discuss topics such as social justice, homelessness, the criminal justice system, food insecurity, and other current themes. May Book: May is Asian America and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. We are reading or listening to All You Can Ever Know by Nicole Chung to learn more about the Asian American experiences and to do our part to stop AAPI hate. Also, feel free to read other books to recommend to the group. June Book: Every year in June, we celebrate the LGBT+ community with Pride events. We are reading or listening to Sissy: A Coming-of-Gender Story by Jacob Tobia. Also, you are welcome to read another book to share with the group. Volunteers will be provided a Zoom link for their session after registering!
