Express Interest: Boston Cares Corps Kickoff

Join the Corps!

The Boston Cares Corps Program is an impact driven opportunity for volunteers dedicated to building and strengthening their skills, deepening their community engagement, and making a difference in the lives of Greater Bostonians. Our Corps focus on improving skills and resources in ESOL, Basic Technology, and Youth and Education. The Corps program combines Boston Cares’ signature flexibility with a focused commitment to a partner and the resources to make a measurable change.

The Corps Kickoff will allow you to get to know individual partners and their programs!

Corps Kick-off Agenda:
9:00am-9:30am Boston Cares New Volunteer Orientation 
        **Required for indiviudals who are not currently members of Boston Cares 

9:30am-10:30am Introduction to the Corps Program

10:30am-11:45am Individual Corps Breakout Sessions

11:45am-12:30pm Lunch provided by Boston Cares

12:30pm-3:00pm Individual Corps Breakout Sessions, Tutor training 



Location: St Marks Community Education

The Boston Cares Corps program revolves around 3 focus areas: Basic Techology, English stills, and Youth & Education.

In the Basic Technology Corps ,members have the opportunity to be a part of a network of likeminded volunteers and skilled professionals focused on beginner technology skills in Boston. 

The Allies for Immigrants: ESOL Corps, led in partnership with English for New Bostonians, is an engaging and interactive group program for individuals dedicated to building and strengthening their skills, deepening their community impact, and making a difference in the lives of New Bostonians learning English.  Volunteers can choose from ESOL Classroom Corps, supporting instructors or - for those who have more instruction experience, ESOL Conversation Corps, leading their own conversation groups.

Our Youth & Ed Corps supports high school age students prepare for college and beyond. 

Introducing Boston Cares ServiceWorks as part of our Youth & Eduction Corps, where volunteers help implement a service learning curriculum for young people age 16- 24 looking to engage in the community. For specific questions about ServiceWorks, contact Jessie Abdow at jadbow@bostoncares.org
