Mock Interviews with ESOL Students

The Y’s Education and Training Center has provided support to underserved populations in Greater Boston, especially newcomers to America, the unemployed, and the underemployed since 1975. Our programs including English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) adult education and workforce development help those living in poverty to move into economic stability and self-sufficiency.

The Education and Training Center currently provides high quality English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) adult education programs in Boston and Woburn at the International Learning Center (ILC), and workforce development programs at Training, Inc. in Boston.

The mock interviews will be for the YMCA's 'English for Employment' cohort. The course is an intro to the US workforce with beginner-intermediate ESL (English as a second language) jobseekers. The goal of this activity is to give students an opportunity to practice their listening and speaking skills before real-world interviews.

Volunteers will assist students with their English speaking and listening skills in preparation for real-world interviews + job opportunities.
