Embrace Massó "¡Con Salsa!” International Music Festival 2025

Embrace Boston's mission: To dismantle structural racism through our work at the intersection of arts and culture, community, and research and policy.

Embrace Boston is currently looking for volunteers for the 2nd Annual Embrace Massó "¡Con Salsa!" International Music Festival which will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Boston Common:  https://www.embraceboston.org/embrace-masso-con-salsa 

Volunteers are needed to help, in shifts, from 9am-10pm on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Volunteer shifts are 3-4 hours each, and you may choose to serve multiple shifts if interested. 

We will need volunteers to help with a variety of areas:

  • Registration/Information - volunteers will be responsible for checking in and orienting volunteers, collecting volunteer badges, and answering questions at the Embrace tent.
  • Stage & Backstage - volunteers will support Embrace Staff with managing the stage and backstage areas and assist with talent and tech as needed.
  • Vendors & Activity Stations- volunteers will assist vendors throughout the day and manage various activity stations (such as a game area for attendees).
  • Wayfinding- volunteers will be stationed throughout Boston Common to provide directionals and answer questions for attendees, must be able to stand for 2+ hours.
  • Setup/Breakdown - all volunteers in Shift #1 and Shift #4 will be responsible for necessary setup/breakdown, including but not limited to: storage unit runs, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for long periods of time.

All volunteers in Shift #1 (9 am-12 pm) and Shift #4 (7-10 pm) will be responsible for necessary setup/breakdown, including but not limited to: storage unit runs, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for 3+ hours.

There will be an optional (but highly recommended!) virtual volunteer orientation 10-20 days prior to the activation date as well as an in-person volunteer orientation on Saturday, September 13 at 9am. A volunteer guide will also be emailed in advance with all necessary details. If you have any additional questions please reach out to erika@embraceboston.org. 

Not required, but volunteers who have speaking proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Creole are encouraged to sign up!

PLEASE NOTE: After signing up, you will also need to complete a Google form in order to volunteer for this opportunity. You will recieve this via email shortly after signing up. If you do not think you have received it, please email volunteers@bostoncares.org.
