X-Cel Education

X-Cel’s mission is to make high school completion, post-secondary study, and sustainable career paths more accessible to underserved communities in Greater Boston, by providing flexible, customized instruction and career readiness development at no cost in convenient community locations. X-Cel Education, a 501(c)(3) organization, partners with neighborhood-based nonprofit organizations to provide free high school equivalency (HSE) and college prep courses at locations throughout Boston. X-Cel's HSE classes are open-enrollment and have no waiting lists. X-Cel Education works with more than 300 students in its programs annually. Since the organization's founding in 2000, over 600 of its students have achieved HSE credentials and more than 350 have entered post-secondary education.
