Cambridge Performance Project

MISSION The mission of the Cambridge Performance Project is to provide high quality instruction and performance experience in dance and theater for children ages 5 - 14, from every race, ethnicity, economic background, neighborhood and school in the city. They emphasize the creative process, and their goal is to encourage a life-long understanding and appreciation of the arts. DESCRIPTION Founded in 1984, the Cambridge Performance Project (Youth Programs) provides high quality dance, theater, and music classes to Cambridge children ages 5-14. The Project teaches in the Cambridge public schools and provide children with an in-depth experience of contemporary and traditional dance and theater styles. More than half of participating students receive full or partial scholarships. Additionally, a full scholarship program is offered for children in area shelters and transitional housing. IMPACT The Cambridge Performance Project fall and spring classes total more then 40 offerings citywide.
